Brazilian actor, comedian and musician Lúcio Mauro Filho, participating in the Papagaio fala podcast, commented on the low salary he received while working on the TV Globo program “Zorra Total”.

During the interview, conducted by presenters Sérgio Mallandro and Renato Rabello, the actor recalled the beginnings of his television career and recalled the career of his father, Lúcio Mauro.

He explained that he accepted the R$1,200 salary because he wanted to rent an apartment with his wife, Cíntia Oliveira. “Cíntia made money, but it wasn’t a formal contract, a formal contract I was, and for us to be able to rent an apartment, this sponsorship thing and stuff, somebody has to work (formally),” he commented.

The comedian recalled that his father was criticized at the time for accepting the salary he was offered. The two did not speak to each other for two weeks.
