‘Acting has given me the opportunity to change myself’: Lucy Boynton opens up on how she finds her inner confidence again as she stuns in a white lace dress in a radiant Harper’s Bazaar shoot
Lucy Boynton has spoken openly about how acting helped transform her from a shy child into a confident adult.
The 28-year-old Bohemian Rhapsody star made the reveal in a stunning Harper’s Bazaar UK shoot, where she graced the cover in a gorgeous white lace dress.
She admitted that growing up she was overshadowed by her “older sister” and was always “very shy and awkward.”

She told the publication: “You wouldn’t believe that I’m the actress in the family. I remember being very shy and awkward as a child and being overshadowed by my older sister.
“But I think acting gave me access to change in some way… It unlocked the idea that I could be different.”
Lucy looked sensational in the ruffled dress which featured a mint green trim and chiffon overlay.

She completed the stunning look with towering green heels and accessories set with sparkling diamonds.
Speaking of her glamorous red carpet appearances, she said: “The publicity side of things still feels a step away from who I really am, but I’ve found a way to take the pressure off of those moments by I look at them like costume fittings.”
Lucy graced the cover of the glossy magazine alongside fellow British actors Shalom Brune-Franklin and Sheila Atim.

She wore her newly auburn hair slicked back and sported a gorgeous palette of makeup.
Glowing about the British film industry, she said: “It helps that I started my career in the UK where, at the time, the highest form of acting was to act in a BBC film. In the States, the whole concept of Hollywood makes success feel unattainable.’
She also spoke about the importance of taking time out of her busy work schedule.
