“I wanted to do a big show and I wanted to be pretty solid. This show comes at the right time in my career and I feel ready after three albums and three tours. “After all these months of work, this achievement makes me emotional,” the singer told the Journal the morning before his second show of the BB tribute tour.

Not only does the artist perform BB's biggest songs on stage, but he also opens up about his relationship with his father like never before. Patrick Bourgeois, Soul of BB, died of cancer in November 2017 at the age of 55.

“I'm talking about the last time I saw my father before he died. It awakens the emotions. I felt like it was a special moment and that the audience wanted me to go there,” explains the man with whom the audience shares this special moment, with watery eyes and a tight throat.

In his eyes, BB music is timeless.

“It is anchored in the collective memory. The proof is that there are still a lot of BB songs in karaoke,” he says.

Who hasn't screamed the chorus of “Give Me My Chance” at the end of the night at a karaoke bar?

Privileged

With this show, Ludovick Bourgeois' mission is simple: “I simply enjoy making people happy,” assures the man who sees himself as an entertainer.

He says he has no problem singing BB tunes instead of his own songs for a while.

The singer also acknowledges that he is privileged to receive so much love from viewers. “It’s a lot of love and recognition that my sisters, for example, can’t get.”
