Model Michelle Salas got married and the most frequently asked question has already been answered. His father, singer Luis Miguel, attended the ceremony in exclusive Italian Tuscany. The artist took a short break from his tour to fly to the Il Borro estate in Arezzo, where Salas married Venezuelan businessman Danilo Díaz. The magazine Hello! The US has confirmed that the Mexican artist even accompanied his daughter to the altar, with whom he had a very complicated relationship and whom he only recognized when she was 18.
The connection between Salas and Díaz has been the focus of the tabloid press for weeks. In addition to the exclusive coverage of the Dolce & Gabanna dress worn by the bride, all the trade magazines insisted on the same question: would Luis Miguel come to the wedding after so many years of absence? The singer had his first daughter in 1989 with actress Stephanie Salas, a member of one of Mexico’s great entertainment families and granddaughter of Silvia Pinal. However, in the same year, in a broadcast with Verónica Castro, the artist denied that this would have been a father: “Oh my God, am I a father now? They don’t know what to invent anymore, it’s okay. Not that I know, not that I know, no. “You didn’t tell me anything.”
This rejection bothered El Sol for years. Michelle Salas grew up in the Pinal dynasty, the great diva of Mexico, until at the age of 16 she broke her silence to Who magazine and put an end to the rumor: she was the daughter of Luis Miguel. “I no longer want to be pitied because I am the unrecognized daughter of Luis Miguel. If he knows I exist, I’m not asking for a life, I just want him to give me five minutes to explain his reasons. Tell me what happened and that’s it,” he then said. It would take two more years before the artist officially recognized her in 2008. It was precisely at this time that his two children, Miguel and Daniel Gallego, were born, which the singer had with actress Araceli Arámbula, from whom he separated in 2009 and who accuses him of not paying child support.
Since then, the relationship between father and daughter has grown. In 2016, Michelle Salas said in an interview with Univisión that she inherited “spontaneity” and “sense of style” from her father. In 2019, when asked by Ventaneando, she described her bond with her father as “wonderful.” However, the two have always been very jealous of their privacy.
The model, who studied fashion design in New York and owns a beauty brand, sold the exclusive photos from her wedding to Vogue magazine. The magazine features the three dresses she wore during the ceremony, as well as pictures with her mother and sister Camila Valera. But no sign of Luis Miguel. It was the magazine Hello! USA, who confirmed that the singer was the best man at the wedding, also accompanied his daughter on the final stretch to the altar and sat in the front row with his partner, model Paloma Cuevas.
Luis Miguel, 53, is in the middle of a tour of Latin America and the United States after years away from the stage. He arrives in Monterrey, Mexico on November 14th and then has seven consecutive dates at the arena in Mexico City. All tickets have been sold out for months.
