The infectious energy of Luka Lemay and Éléonore Lagacé is used to answer questions from young people aged 8 to 10 in the new popular science magazine Luke and Leowhich will be added to Télé-Québec’s offering starting Friday.
The dynamic of the co-hosts is also reflected in the production, which is frankly dynamic, as the QMI agency was able to see when watching the first episode.
Luka and Léo are in exploration mode and head into the field to meet stakeholders and specialists, such as Dr. François Marquis, who explains to Luka why cold mud gives him a headache. The question comes from Charles.
Luka and Léo are joined in the episodes by science popularist Massi Mahiou, who is sure to make young people laugh by answering a variety of questions in a format that is both educational and amusing.
Also seen in the first episode: Éléonore investigates where the water flows when you flush the toilet. The question comes from Analia and her answer will certainly educate adults on this topic as there are so many stages in the water filtration system.
Marilou wants to know if chickens are really dinosaurs. Miguel, for his part, wonders about the need for eyebrows, while Justin ends up wondering how karate fighters manage to break wooden boards.
The informative and entertaining reports are produced in multiple regions, as is the show’s presentation by co-hosts, which comes from Quebec and elsewhere in La Belle Province.
Éléonore Lagacé needs no more introduction. A multi-talented artist, she shone in the musical “Hair” last summer, won the Zénith music competition last winter and was a finalist in “Big Brothers Celebrities” in 2022. She is also an actress and dancer.
Luka Lemay graduated from the National School of Humor (2021) and we notably saw him last summer on Sucré Salé on TVA as an “intern” for presenter Mélanie Maynard.
Directed by Jean-Philippe Pariseau and produced by Saturne 5, the company of Pierre-Yves Lord – who is also the designer of the format – the program “Luka et Léo” will air every Friday at 5:30 p.m. from October 27th broadcast.
