Despite converting on penalties, Modric failed to celebrate his first title with the Croatian side and deeply regretted what happened.
The Croatian team lost to Spain 5-4 on penalties and lost in the final UEFA Nations League. Most injured was Croatian captain and Real Madrid footballer Luka Modric, who couldn’t hide his grief and even some of his teammates came out to show their support.
Let’s remember that this is the second final lost by the Croatian midfielder in the senior team. The first was against France at the 2018 World Cup in Russia and now against Spain they failed on penalties. Despite this, Modric is recognized on social media for everything he has brought to football and his country.
