Lula spoke to King Charles III. of England on Alliance and Climate

“I’ve just spoken to King Charles III. of the UK calls. We spoke about the will to deepen alliances and discussions between our countries on the issue of climate and environmental protection,” Lula wrote on a social network.

Newspapers assured that in their speech both would address the invitation to Lula to attend the coronation of the monarch, but the founder of the Labor Party did not address the issue.

Lula is expected to be invited to the inauguration of the Sovereign and Queen consort Camilla Parker Bowles, which is set to take place on May 6 at Westminster Abbey in London.

Carlos III automatically became king upon the death of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, on September 8, 2022.

Since taking office on January 1 for his third term, the PT leader has had no contact with His Majesty the UK.

The May 6 event will be chaired by the Archbishop of Canterbury, the spiritual leader of the Anglican Church.

The abbey, whose royal connections are far-reaching, was the site of the funeral ceremonies of Elizabeth II and also the son of Charles III. and current heir to the throne, Prince William, married his wife Kate.

For the population, the highlight of the celebrations is likely to be on May 7th: a concert at Windsor Castle that brings together British and international stars of music and dance.

Charles III is King and Head of State not only of the United Kingdom but of 14 other Commonwealth nations including Australia, New Zealand, Canada and Jamaica.

The British press assures that the sovereign has received a huge wave of support since succeeding his mother to the throne.

However, some of the Queen’s mourners warn against following her lead and keeping her opinions to herself.

Since becoming monarch, Carlos III, 74, has repeatedly stated that he would follow his mother’s example.

But in his first televised address, he made it clear that his role would not be the same now that he is king.
