BRASILIA Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva will return to the presidency on January 1, next Sunday. The event also marks the departure of former São Paulo governor and former toucan Geraldo Alckmin (PSB) to the vice presidency.

The music festival, which runs parallel to the official ceremony, features performances by artists such as Duda beat, Marcelo Jeneci, Ruiz Tulip, Maria Rita, Pablo Vittar and Gaby Amarantos. The singer and future Minister of Culture Margaret Menezwill have a special appearance at the band’s show Baiana system.
The presentations start at 10:00 am and in the afternoon, from 1:30 pm, there is a break for the official opening ceremony. Shows resume at 6pm and should continue into the early hours of January 2nd. Two Stages are set up with the names of Gal Costa and Elza Soareskilled in 2022.
