On the occasion of the global day in remembrance of children who died (early), a light ceremony will take place on Sunday, December 10, 2023, between 5:00 pm and 6:30 pm, at the children’s memorial in Wels Cemetery.
Every year on the second Sunday of December for many years, affected families around the world remember their deceased children at 7pm by placing a candle in the window. As candles go out in one time zone, they are lit in the next. This creates a wave of light that envelops the entire world within 24 hours.
A warm invitation to remember our children together, regardless of age or circumstances. The celebration of light is an opportunity, on the eve of Christmas, to remind children that they are present in the hearts of their family members.
