Luna has had an exciting year: the cloud gaming service celebrated its first anniversary in the US and became available to customers in the UK, Germany and Canada
Today we’re excited to bring Luna to gamers in France, Italy and Spain, giving more customers the opportunity to play games like they’re watching movies – online, without expensive devices or lengthy downloads.
Luna is launching in France, Italy and Spain with the same features as the US, UK, Germany and Canada, as well as a diverse collection of games. Whether you want to hop on the Battle Bus and play Fortnite with your friends or enjoy mainstream games, retro classics or “AAA” titles, you will always find something interesting to play! You can play Luna on any supported device, including Fire TV streaming devices, PC, Mac, Chromebook, iPhone, iPad, Android mobile devices, and select Samsung and LG branded smart TVs.
Same great deals for Prime members
Just like in other countries, Amazon Prime members in France, Italy and Spain can now play Fortnite, Trackmania and select games on Luna at no additional cost. Prime members can also connect their Ubisoft accounts to Luna to play select Ubisoft PC games they already own or purchase new games and start playing immediately.
Subscriptions for everyone
In addition to playing with the Prime offer, customers can subscribe to various subscription options, each giving them access to a variety of additional gaming content:
Luna+ : Our largest and most diverse library, Luna+, contains games across all genres – action, adventure, classics and more, with favorites like Team Sonic Racing, SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom and Batman: Arkham Knight. Luna+ subscribers also have access to the same benefits on Luna as Prime members, including access to Fortnite and the ability to play Ubisoft PC games they own on Luna. Luna+ is available for €9.99 per month. You can try Luna+ free for 7 days.
Ubisoft+ : Access the latest Ubisoft titles as soon as they are released, including the latest hit Assassin’s Creed Mirage and the upcoming game Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. Subscribers also have access to a large catalog of games from the most popular Ubisoft franchises such as Assassin’s Creed, Rainbow Six and Far Cry. The Ubisoft+ subscription is available for €17.99 per month.
Jackbox games : Jackbox Games’ €4.99 monthly subscription, available only on Luna, includes “party game” games like Quiplash, Trivia Murder Party and Drawful.
Luna controller
The Luna Controller was developed and optimized for Luna. It connects directly to Luna’s cloud servers via Wi-Fi to reduce gaming latency. Cloud Direct technology lets you seamlessly switch between compatible displays (e.g. from a TV with Fire TV Stick to a mobile phone) without additional pairing or configuration. The Luna controller is now available in France, Italy and Spain for €69.99.
Games on Fire TV
In addition to Luna, we’re excited to announce that we’re expanding the Fire TV experience for users in France, Italy and Spain with a new, one-stop shop for all things gaming. Games on Fire TV brings together the best games and gaming-related content for Fire TV in one place. To use Games on Fire TV, select the tab in your Fire TV’s navigation bar or go to the Games section under the Search tab on your Fire TV. From there you can pair controllers, browse games and get started.
