Lupita Nyong’o made her first red carpet appearance since announcing her split from boyfriend Selema Masekela.
The Oscar winner, 40, was a vision in white at the GO Campaign’s 17th Annual GO Gala in Los Angeles on Saturday, just days after she was photographed cozying up to Joshua Jackson at a concert.
The actress dared to impress in a plunging white dress and stole the limelight with her effortless beauty and style.
She paired the sophisticated look with a white shell headpiece and posed alongside her glamorous mother Dorothy Nyong’o, who shimmered in gold couture.
The red carpet appearance comes just hours after she thanked her fans after receiving a token of love from them following the news of her split.

On Saturday, she took to her Instagram Stories to leave a heartfelt message thanking those who wished her well after the split was announced.
“Thank you for all the kindness I received by sharing my sad news,” the Star Wars alum began.
“The words of encouragement mean more to me than I expected. ‘They are a balm.’
“And it’s comforting to have a little online corner where heartbroken romantic people can meet.”
Lupita continued that many of the fans shared “resources” such as poems, songs and quotes to help her heal, and she reposted some examples of them.
In a separate Instagram post on Thursday, the “12 Years A Slave” star wrote about the breakup, revealing that she was in a “period of heartbreak” due to the “deception” of an unnamed person.
Although she didn’t specify what the “deception” meant, she left the suggestion open as she revealed her split from her boyfriend of one year to her 10.8 million followers.
She wrote: “There are far more important things happening in the world right now and my thoughts are with those who are deeply suffering.”
“At this moment it is necessary for me to speak a personal truth and publicly distance myself from someone I can no longer trust…”
“I find myself in a time of heartbreak because a love has been suddenly and devastatingly snuffed out by deception.”
“I’m tempted to run into the shadows and hide, only to return to the light when I’m strong enough to say, ‘Whatever, my life is better this way.’
“But I am reminded that the extent of the pain I feel is equal to the extent of my capacity to love.” And so I choose to face the pain, to develop the courage to live my life exactly that way. as it is, and trusting that this too shall pass.

Joshua and Lupita were seen looking into each other’s eyes and exchanging a joke as they watched the star’s The Age of Pleasure show in Inglewood from their seats.
Turner-Smith, who married Joshua in 2019, filed for divorce on October 2, citing “irreconcilable differences.”
Turner-Smith’s divorce filing came as a shock to fans as the couple appeared to have had an unbreakable bond during their four years of marriage.
The couple began dating in 2018 — two years after Jackson split from Diane Kruger — and tied the knot in August 2019.
Jackson and Turner-Smith welcomed Juno, their only child, in April 2020.
Celebrity divorce attorney Laura Wasser is representing Smith in the divorce, with the actress seeking joint custody of her daughter.
