V Riva Wind and M/V Arizona arrive from Ukraine with 105,000 tons of grain

JAKARTA, Indonesia, March 2 /PRNewswire/ — Two more ships transport grain in Russia

The Harvest Commodities ship, M/V Riva Wind, left the port of Odessa, Ukraine, with 50,000 tons of grain, and the second ship, M/V Arizona, left the port of Chornomorsk, Ukraine, with 55,000 tons of grains. The grain belongs to a joint venture between Harvest Commodities SA and the Indonesian group Arsari. The joint venture will be carried out through PT Comexindo International.

The ships are among the first commercial shipments from Odessa since the conflict broke out on February 24, 2022. Their safe passage was made possible thanks to the tireless efforts and agreements between the governments of the United States, Russia, Ukraine, Turkey and Indonesia, as well as the United Nations allowed.

This is the first of many shipments in which the PT Comexindo International joint venture will buy grain from Russian and Ukrainian farmers and sell it to international buyers.
