Macau tour: A bungee jump turns into a nightmare

A 56-year-old tourist has died after the world’s highest bungee jump in China.

The Japanese tourist tragically died after jumping from the tower in Macau on the southern coast of China, Mirror reports.

The tower itself is 338 meters high, but the bungee jumping platform is 233 meters away.

According to available information, the Japanese began to suffer from shortness of breath shortly after the jump on Sunday.

He was reportedly taken to Conde S. Januário Hospital in Macau for emergency treatment but was later pronounced dead. An investigation is underway.

Before jumping from the tower, guests must report any health concerns, including heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes or previous surgery.

Solo participants have to pay about $480 to jump from the tower.
