Apple fixes two bugs. The first is an issue with USB-C and Thunderbolt external displays connected to a Mac mini (2018) and used as a second display. They should now glow. We also fixed an issue with some Bluetooth devices. Users are experiencing gamepad disconnects after playing audio content with certain Beats headphones.
macOS Monterey 12.3.1, two vulnerabilities closed
On the security side, the company closes two bugs, CVE-2022-22675 and CVE-2022-22674. The first allows an application to run arbitrary code with kernel privileges. It is highly recommended to update your Mac. Computer attacks exploiting this flaw have already been discovered.
The second is a fix for an Intel graphics driver. A security issue allows an application to read kernel memory. Apple is aware of reports that this issue is being exploited by hackers.
