Everything on the go, at home Andrea Iovino died at the age of 38. There is pain and dismay. The whole community of Nola has gathered around the family who lives in the Cappella degli Spiriti neighborhood. Above all, his fellow citizens miss the husband, the loving father of four children, the generous and good boy who attended the classrooms of Carducci High School, the caring son and the brother who was with him Giovannino (the troublemaker of Tu Sì que vales) and Antonietta shared a passion for theater. He loved his family deeply and in them he found the path to his artistic commitment.
«He was the firstborn, but I was the one who brought him into this world, with Giovanni also involved. I also love theater and started attending the Nolan Pipariello Company at a young age. My brothers followed me. Later I left and they continued successfully,” he claims Antonietta Iovino who suffers from pain with great dignity and wants to underline Andrea’s journey. “SI am a self-made man, for years he worked in an animation company, Hollywood Animation, with which he brought joy to the villages and many tourists came back because he was there. Then he did the first castings, which went well. He conquered everyone with his skills. As is so often the case, it made its way from the villages first to television and then even to arthouse cinema Made in the South and then Pinocchio From Matteo Garrone. A real lesson that led him to success.
The calls from Siani and Sal Da Vinci
Alessandro Siani who wanted him as an elf in the film Who tricked Santa Claus? He personally called his family that, the cast of Sal Da Vinci He did this by visiting in person. Andrea discovered he was ill in October last year: “He discovered it just days before his last child was born. In recent months he has encouraged us and although he was not feeling well, he wanted to take part in the Masaniello Revolution show with Sal Da Vinci. “The panels of the scenes together with his family were his life,” emphasizes his sister, becoming emotional several times. Antonietta concludes: “The last gesture she made was to raise her thumb, she greeted us like that.” I pray for strength. This was Andrea, a great actor but above all a great man.
The Protestant community
Andrea Iovino frequently visited the evangelical community of Naples: Sabaot. Today, this community, along with his family and many colleagues and institutional representatives, welcomed him to Nolan Cemetery. With them the mayor Carlo Buonauro: “The country is completely shaken.” He was a beautiful face of our community. His joy was never empty or vulgar, but deep and thoughtful. In addition, it was the symbol of those who manage to achieve their dreams, those who overcome difficulties in a seemingly distant world. We join the family and will definitely do our best to remember him, because with his commitment to cinema and theater he knew how to express the deep values of our country with sensitivity and sensitivity.
