Madeleine West has marked 2023 with a dramatic new look.
The formerly brunette Neighbors star surprised Instagram fans on Saturday by sharing a photo of herself with striking strawberry blonde locks.
‘2023! Stepping slowly out of the darkness into the light. Literally…” the 42-year-old actress quipped in her caption.

Fans of the mother-of-six loved her new look, with one commenting, “Love you blonde!”
“Happy New Year to you and your family. You look fabulous,” wrote another.
Longtime fans will recall that Madeline sported blonde locks when she portrayed Dee Bliss and her evil double Andrea Somers in Neighbors.

Madeleine’s return to Blond could be a hint that she’ll be returning to a relaunched soap this year after the franchise was acquired by Amazon.
Filming for the new series begins earlier this year and will see stars such as Stefan Dennis (Paul Robinson), Alan Fletcher (Dr. Karl Kennedy), Ryan Moloney (Toadfish) and Jackie Woodburne (Susan Kennedy) reprise their starring roles Roll.
The full casting lineup has not yet been announced.

In November, it was announced that Neighbors had been rescued just four months after the last episode aired in July.
The soap was canceled in March after 37 years on the air when British broadcaster Channel 5 withdrew as an international broadcast partner.
Madeleine, who recently started a career in politics, did not appear in the final episode.
Madeleine starred in Neighbors from 2000 to 2003 before returning to the series on and off between 2017 and 2020.
