The superstar, who recently turned 64, seemed to be having a blast at Ricardo Gomes’ party-inspired Brooklyn photoshoot for PAPER Magazine, where she wore a range of provocative outfits.
During the interview, conducted by her Like a Virgin contributor Nile Rodgers, she admitted that she wanted to “provoke and wake people up”.

Glamorous as ever, the Material Girl hitmaker sported smoky eye makeup with silver and black eyeshadow and voluminous lashes.

The publication shared a video from the photoshoot titled “Madonna Is the Wildest Party Favor.”
The 58-second clip sees the star partying with a host of intriguing characters as she dances around and mingles with the crowd.
The clip is set to the remix of their song “I Don’t Search I Find”.

When asked if it’s boredom that drives her to always go forward and not be afraid of taking risks, the singer replied that she enjoys provoking people.
“I wouldn’t call it boredom, I would call it curiosity – the desire to provoke and wake people up. I hate repeating myself,’ she said.
She also mentioned that she always wanted to empower women through her music.
“If you think about all the songs, whether it’s ‘Like a Virgin’ or ‘Material Girl’ or ‘Express Yourself’ or ‘Papa Don’t Preach’, I’ve also been very committed to empowering women, and it was very big part of storytelling.’

“Because I think while women made great dance records, I felt like in the early days when the songs and the melodies were really strong and the singers were really good, they weren’t really invested in making women think:” Wow, I don’t have to live in a man’s world and live under the male gaze for the rest of my life. I can look at life differently and not commit myself. I can have my own voice and my own vision.
“So that was an important element,” she added.
The hitmaker also revealed that she enjoys that people tend to engage with the meaning of her song titles, which often have multiple meanings.
