Madonna Reflects on 2022 With Compilation Videos…Promoting Back That Up To The Beat

Ahead of the new year 2023, Madonna took to her social media platforms to take a look back at some of the highlights of her life over the past year.

And as the master promoter she has been over the past few decades, the Material Girl has posted two 2022 recap videos: one on TikTok and another via her Instagram page, to promote two versions of her dance-heavy song Back That Up To The Beat.

While “Back That Up To The Beat” dates back to 2015, it has had a resurgence since a version on TikTok and became a smash hit in the past year.

The pop superstar, 64, first took to TikTok and posted her year in review clip titled Back That Up To The Beat – Accelerated Version.

It begins with a man declaring, “And so the 2022 season ends, good night,” over various clips of Madonna (born Madonna Louise Ciccone) performing on stage.

As the voiceover fades out, the sped-up version of Back That Up To The Beat fades in with its ‘4 to the Floor’ bangin’ rhythm and up-tempo beat reminiscent of house music and techno.
