Less than six months after she was hospitalized and nearly died from what appeared to be an aggressive bacteria whose nature was not publicly disclosed, Madonna is back on stage. What she calls a “second chance.”
“It’s a miracle that I’m here now. My mother, God bless her, has to take care of me. She told me, “My daughter, it is not your time,” People magazine reports, based on images taken during a concert last weekend in Antwerp, Belgium, and posted online.
Madonna’s mother, Madonna Louise Fortin, died of breast cancer in 1963. The Queen of Pop said she’s been thinking about her mother lately. “I suddenly felt empathy and sympathy for my mother. Not because of her death, but because of the loneliness she probably felt as she lay in the hospital bed knowing she wouldn’t survive. And I had a second chance, she said. I am very grateful for that. »
Madonna is currently touring Europe and will perform her first North American concerts in Brooklyn on December 13th, 14th and 16th. She will be at the Bell Center in Montreal on January 18th and 20th, 2024.
