Madonna ‘will headline Glastonbury Festival in 2024’ after her Celebration Tour comes to an end: ‘Both teams are committed to making this happen’

It won’t be long until the long-awaited Glastonbury 2024 tickets go on sale on November 5th.

And according to reports, Madonna will headline the festival at Worthy Farm in Somerset next June.

According to The Sun, she is in advanced talks to take to the Pyramid stage in the summer.

The 65-year-old singer has never performed at the legendary music festival and her team are reportedly planning a big show that is sure to go down in Glastonbury history.

Madonna would follow in the footsteps of the legendary Sir Elton John, who closed the festival last June with his final show on his Farewell tour.

A source to the publication revealed: “Negotiations between Glasto organizer Emily Eavis and Madonna’s manager Guy Oseary are well underway.”

“Both teams are committed to achieving this and there should be no problem completing a deal.”

“Emily was overwhelmed when she saw Madonna in London and is keen to bring her to the Pyramid Stage next year.”

The Like A Virgin hitmaker kicked off her Celebration Tour last weekend with sold-out shows at the O2 Arena.

During the show, Madonna sent temperatures soaring as she took to the stage in satin lingerie and moved around the stage with a whole host of topless dancers.

In the audience, Emily shared her excitement online after the show, writing: “She’s back! Unbelievable.”

And fans are convinced that this was a sign that Madonna is at the top of the promoter’s list.

According to the star’s schedule, her 78-show tour will end next April, meaning she has a nice break to recover and rehearse for Glastonbury.

Last June, revelers enjoyed artists such as Arctic Monkeys, Guns N’ Roses and Elton John, but Emily faced backlash as there was no female headliner in the line-up.

She explained at the time: “We had a female headliner and unfortunately she had to pull out.” . it is constantly changing.

“But next year it looks like we’ll have two female headliners, so we’ll keep our fingers crossed.”

It was suspected that Taylor Swift canceled due to a change of plans as his tour dates seemed to coincide perfectly with Glastonbury’s at the time.
