In his Twitter account, the President pointed out that December 8 “is an indelible date in our lives” and we commemorate it with a people standing steadfast, victorious and loyal to the Bolivarian principles of building the socialist fatherland.
He stressed that this is “the path that our commander Hugo Chávez has taken. Unity, fight, fight and victory! Last night, on his television program Con el Mazo Dando, the first vice president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela, Diosdado Cabello, recalled the moment the leader of the Bolivarian Revolution addressed the people for the last time before leaving for Havana, Cuba, for your medical treatment.
He recalled that early in the morning of December 7, Chávez remained steadfast, strong and motivated and despite his pain (due to the illness) his spirit was unbreakable, he knew the situation he was in at that moment, Indians.
At no point did the commander “show any hint of bitterness or sadness, on the contrary, I think he encouraged us and tried to lift our spirits,” he said.
Cabello announced that this Thursday will be the Great March on the Day of Loyalty and Love for Commander Hugo Chávez, who will depart from the Plaza de Venezuela in Caracas and arrive at the Cuartel de la Montaña, where his remains rest.
“See you there marching to commemorate this day of love and loyalty to our Commander Chávez on December 8th, for now and forever, united as brothers in this struggle. Word of honour!” he stressed.
On this day in 2012, recognized as the perpetual Venezuelan leader, he spoke on a national network for a 35-minute speech urging the people to elect Nicolás Maduro as president in the face of all eventualities that would prevent him from leading the Bolivarian Revolution to continue .
“I beg you with all my heart,” said Chávez, who said goodbye to the people for the last time with the song Patria Querida.
