Married At First Sight’s Duncan James leaves wife Alyssa Barmonde in tears after brutally dumping her on final vows: ‘I feel sick and betrayed’
Married at first sight groom Duncan James left his wife Alyssa Barmonde in tears during Sunday’s episode after he brutally dumped her at their latest vows ceremony.
Alyssa, 35, told Duncan, 36, at the ceremony she wanted to “fight for her relationship” – and was left blindsided when he said the feeling wasn’t mutual.
“I know what love and a great relationship are and we both deserve that. But our views on what constitutes a healthy relationship seem to differ,” he told her.
“Maybe it’s our personalities or different ways of thinking. In any case, the gap seems too big to be bridged. I don’t want to hurt you or continue to be hurt, so I have to say goodbye.’
“F**k I wasn’t expecting that,” a shocked Alyssa replied before tearfully walking away from her husband.

Alyssa later admitted hearing Duncan say that he didn’t want to be with her was soul crushing.
“Leaving absolutely devastated me. I feel sick and betrayed,” she told the cameras.
Chron Australia understands the pair have only exchanged texts “once or twice” since filming the show and things are worse than thought.
“They’re not even speaking to each other right now,” a source revealed.

“Both agreed that it was best not to do interviews together or even pretend to be together.”
“Alyssa knew that, as much as she wanted, Duncan would never work out. They both live different lives.”
The source claimed Alyssa was pressured by the producers to say “yes,” even though they “clearly knew Duncan would dump her. It wasn’t fair’.
