MAFS: Harrison admits he had ‘performance anxiety’ while having sex with Bronte

Married At First Sight star Harrison Boon has made a surprising admission about his sex life with wife Bronte Schofield.

The 32-year-old builder revealed that on the two occasions they had sex, he felt “pressure” to be intimate with the 28-year-old beauty educator.

Bronte previously said she was the one who decided to put her sex life on hold because she was “not ready” for intimacy.

But speaking to ex-MAFS stars Domenica Calarco and Ella Ding on their Sit With Us podcast, Harrison said he was the one missing the sexual connection with Bronte.

He indicated that he couldn’t reach his sexual peak because Bronte expected him to be a “big alpha male.”

“I felt pressure to perform because I was coming in… I was this big alpha male, that’s how I was portrayed,” he explained.

“I just felt like I had to act sexually to bond, to show this girl that I liked her. All the things guys go through trying to impress a girl, right? And I just forced it.’

Harrison recounted a time when Bronte “initiated” sex, but he didn’t feel it because he was too “stressed out,” so they tried again the next morning and, once again, he “couldn’t.”

“In the morning we started kissing again and we got intimate, and then it just happened,” he explained. “And then I just couldn’t, I just couldn’t.”

When Domenica asked if it was just because he couldn’t make it, Harrison said it was more his lack of confidence in Bronte.

“I couldn’t, I just wasn’t there. I just wasn’t,” he said.

“Do you want to know what the core problem was? I didn’t trust her. I always felt like she was wrong and I never trusted her.

“That was always at the heart of the problem for me, the things she would say, how she would act, what she said about me behind my back to other people.”

Harrison opened up about his sex life with Bronte on The Kyle and Jackie O Show last month, revealing why sex with his wife “didn’t work.”

“I don’t know, there was just nothing. There were only two people crowded into that position. You have to remember that we are two strangers trying to make a marriage work,” he explained.

“We tried to run before we even walked. And we did the things that married people do, but we didn’t know each other.’

Bronte and Harrison’s turbulent relationship was anything but a fairy tale.

During Wednesday night’s dramatic final dinner party, she brutally dropped him in front of everyone.

The tension was palpable as they sat down to face the dreaded honesty box task set by the pundits — a staple of the MAFS franchise designed to encourage raw, truthful conversations between the couples.

Little did they know that this final test would ultimately spell the end of their marriage.

As the questions became more personal, Bronte and Harrison found themselves locked in a bitter argument.

It ended with Bronte saying she was sick of Harrison always playing the victim and gas-lighting her.

Unable to contain her feelings any longer, she finally snapped, “I’m through with you. I’m done with this man. Harrison, we’re done.”

“We’re over and I honestly don’t want to see you again,” she added, storming out of the dinner party and leaving Harrison and her fellow contestants in shock.
