A bobcat roams the streets of Magog in Estrie, a situation that is not worrisome, according to the Ministry of Environment, Fight against Climate Change, Wildlife and Parks.
The animal was spotted in a residential area near the intersection of Chemin des Pères and Rue Desautels, the municipality said in a Facebook post.
“The Ministry of Environment, Climate Change, Wildlife and Parks has been informed and informed us that no aggressive behavior has been reported and the situation is not worrying,” it reads.
Although it is tempting to approach the animal, the city of Magog has reminded that it is important not to intervene as it can be unpredictable.
Here are some tips on things to do around wildlife:
– Do not feed wild animals, even unintentionally;
– Keep household waste out of their reach;
– Feed pets indoors;
– Eliminate food odors by cleaning your trash cans and grill grates.
– keep domestic dogs on a leash;
– Keep all pets and farm animals indoors at night.
