A makeup influencer has revealed how she’s attracted a legion of followers who think she’s Jennifer Lopez’s lookalike.
Evelyn Rodriguez, 37, who has more than 170,000 followers on TikTok and over 100,000 followers on Instagram, says her posts always draw a crowd of comments, with fans comparing her to the Latina singer.
The makeup guru, who was born in the Dominican Republic and now lives in the Bronx, New York, says, “I wasn’t surprised by any of the comments because I’ve been told that my entire life.
‘[Ninety-nine] percent of people say we’re twins, but others say I’m a cross between Kate Hudson and JLo. Whatever they say, I always feel complimented.”

In one post, she shows how to create JLo’s thick eyeliner look from the 2002 music video for All I Have, in which she sings Cool J alongside rapper LL.
After posting the video, people wrote in the comments, applauding Rodriguez’s resemblance to JLo.
Doinmadamnbest wrote: “They didn’t even need the makeup! You look sooo much like her!’
And Isamar added: “Girl what. Are you her long lost twin or something?’
While Antaman said she “looks like a cross between JLo and Kate Hudson for sure.”

Rodriguez says she started getting comments about what JLo looked like after she moved to the US at the age of nine.
She started working at McDonald’s when she was 16, and customers often noticed the resemblance.
She was stopped many times by strangers, including once while driving and another time by a stubborn waiter who “refused to take no for an answer.”
While she could use the resemblance to her advantage, Rodriguez says, she always tells people the truth right away.
She started creating content on TikTok and Instagram under the name @pocaeve to share funny makeup videos.
But when she kept being “bombarded” with comments about the similarities, she decided to go for it.
While she shares a variety of makeup looks and some about her clients, she also posts recreations of some of JLo’s most iconic looks.
Though she doesn’t always see the resemblance herself, Rodriguez says she’s always taken being compared to the singer as a compliment, and even now she still feels “honoured.”

Her videos include makeup looks inspired by the “All I Have” and “I’m Real” music videos, as well as an iconic JLo look from the 2005 Latin Billboard Awards.
Though she doesn’t always see the resemblance herself, Rodriguez says she’s always taken being compared to the singer as a compliment, and even now she still feels “honoured.”
She summarizes: “I’ve been stopped countless times just walking around town. People always ask if I’ve heard it before and I always say… “Yes!”
“She is a multidimensional icon. There is no doubt about it. She is a mood.
“I really don’t see it to be honest, it’s just my face to me. Sometimes I see it for a second, but then I don’t see it anymore.
“My favorite thing is when people stare at me forever and say, ‘Do you know what you look like?’ because the answer is always the same.
“When I meet new people, I always get the same compliment and all my friends have always told me that I look like her.
“I’ve colored my hair, had weight changes and it doesn’t matter – apparently I always look like her.”
Rodriguez has never met her celebrity double, but says she’d love to and “would probably crush girls” if she did.
