Malin Andersson announces she has been asked to attend the Queen’s speech

Malin Andersson has revealed she has been asked to attend the Queen’s Speech this year after her tireless campaigning for domestic violence survivors.

The former Love Island star, 23, revealed she had received a message from government officials after sharing her own experience of domestic violence online.

Malin’s ex-boyfriend and father of her late daughter Consy, who died when she was just one month old, was jailed in 2020 after she admitted domestic violence.

The motivational speaker, who has campaigned on the issue for several years, took to Instagram to share the exciting news.

She wrote: “Guys! I cannot believe I was asked by 10 Downing St to attend the Queen’s speech in relation to my advocacy on domestic violence.

Malin’s former partner Tom Kemp has been jailed for 10 months after he admitted an assault that left her “black and blue” with a broken hand.

Kemp was released in December after three months and is serving the remainder of his curfew sentence.

Tom was the father of Malin’s little girl, Consy, who tragically died of a heart defect in January 2019, just a month after giving birth at the age of 33 weeks.

Malin met Tom at the end of 2017, shortly after the death of her mother, also known as Consy, from breast cancer.

Malin has since had time to reflect on her relationship with Kemp and says they formed a “trauma bond” amid their grief and depression over the loss of their mother.

In June 2020, Malin opened up about the abuse and emotional anguish she endured while in the on/off relationship in 2018.

She said: “It started with things being thrown at my face in anger – food, bottles of water, whatever was in his hand, all in anger.

“He went from zero to 100 in seconds. As soon as they think they can do this to you, it escalates.”

That same month, Malin made a lengthy Instagram post with the caption, “Third and final lot, I’m NO longer a victim.”

Calling their romance “toxic and unhealthy,” she said, “It’s been a constant struggle to let go emotionally to deal with my mother’s and daughter’s grief. I had him as my comforter.”

She accused Kemp of emotional and physical abuse, saying, “Including spitting, hitting, poking, kicking, scratching, speaking down, controlling, manipulating, cheating and more, last night I experienced the worst pain to come.”

Malin then claimed she received a call from a woman asking why the star texted her “boyfriend”.

She wrote, “After a calm and collected call with her, we finally came to confirm that they have been speaking since January (when our daughter was in ICU).”

“While I’ve focused on my sanity, I’ve received multiple emails, calls, and texts from one extreme to the other (I’m a bad mom, my mom hates me, I’ll go to hell to the extreme, I love you , I can’t be without you etc.

“This lady is a good example of a narcissistic man.

“I will NOT be another victim of domestic violence, I will not be beaten mentally or physically for having gone through so much worse than this.

Adding that she was “exhausted, heartbroken and confused,” she urged her followers to “listen to your gut and learn to love yourself.”
