Be Nia Long“Son of son” is NOT a get-out-of-jail-free card, especially if you are NOT actually their son at all — as one man found out after allegedly hitting a stranger with a tent pole.
Law enforcement tells TMZ… Tamir Rasool Morris was arrested last weekend in Santa Monica, where police say he attacked a random person in a park. When officers questioned him, Morris told them his name Maasai Dorsey II …that's the name of Nia's actual 23-year-old son.
What's scary for Nia and her family is that this guy clearly did some research… because he also gave the officials Masai the correct birthday and month, but ended up getting the year wrong. We were told he was off by two years.
Of course, his web of lies collapsed when he was arrested and fingerprinted… revealing his true name.
According to our sources, police have suspected that Morris Masai's information was obtained from social media, but Santa Monica police would like to clarify that the real Masai was not involved in the incident at all and his name was mentioned without his knowledge.
As for Morris, he is currently in jail on a $30,000 bond. He was charged with assault with a deadly weapon and false impersonation.
