A passenger on an Asiana Airlines flight opened the plane’s emergency exit as it approached Daegu, South Korea. According to the airline’s AFP news agency, the Airbus A321-200 was on a domestic flight with almost 200 passengers on Friday when the incident occurred.

Passenger opened emergency exit door manually
Asiana Airlines said that when the plane was about 200 meters above the ground before landing, a passenger sitting near the emergency exit manually opened the door. This caused breathing problems for some passengers, and several of them were taken to hospital after landing.
The incident did not lead to more serious injuries, he said. The man who opened the emergency exit was taken to the police for questioning.
The plane landed safely.

South Korea’s Yonhap News Agency reported nine hospital admissions. She released a short video of the incident. It shows how a strong current of air penetrates through the open door of the aircraft and ruffles the hair of some passengers. Some of them cry out in surprise.
