Man spots crocodile in Florida with woman’s remains in mouth

A witness reported the animal to the police, who killed the alligator. The dead woman has been identified. Whether the animal killed the woman is still under investigation.

Police killed a 14-foot-long alligator in the canal- and waterway-lined city of Largo, Florida, after it was spotted with a woman’s remains in its mouth. A witness told local media that she saw the crocodile in a canal holding an abdomen in its mouth.

The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office said the animal was killed. The deceased was a 41-year-old woman whose identity could be clarified. However, it is still unknown what led to the woman’s death.

Eyewitnesses initially believed the animal had a dummy in its mouth

Eyewitness Jamarcus Bullard told US media that he was on his way to a job interview when he spotted the crocodile with what initially looked like a dummy in its mouth. “I noticed he had a body in his mouth – something that looked like an abdomen – and when I saw that, I ran straight to the fire station,” he told local station Fox 13.

The victim’s family is also mentioned in the North American media. A donation page has been created. The woman recently lived in a homeless camp near a forest. The dead woman’s daughter wrote on Facebook: “It is believed she was walking to or from her camp near the creek in the dark and the crocodile attacked from the water.” (Ed.)
