Manchester United begin the new season with a game against Wolves on Monday night, a game that has seen many frustrating and poor performances. Erik ten Hag’s side managed a brace against their well-known opponents last season, a sign of their recent improvement.

Ten Hag will be cautious in December as United soon face Newcastle, Chelsea, Bournemouth, West Ham, Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest. The return of the Champions League in mid-September will be followed by a game against Arsenal on September 2, followed by games against Brighton, Burnley and Crystal Palace.

The Manchester Derby returns at Old Trafford on October 28 and United will reignite their rivalry with Liverpool at Anfield on December 16. For away fans wanting the same new stadiums, there’s a trip to Luton on 17 February.

When will the TV programs be confirmed?

Last summer, Sky Sports and BT Sport shared their TV picks for the opening weekend when the fixtures were announced.

They then confirmed in mid-July that their TV taping would last until mid-September.

The aim of the Premier League is to make fans aware of any changes based on the TV schedule at least six weeks before the game.

There will be one major change this year: BT Sport will be renamed TNT Sports from July. As The Athletic detailed here, it was stressed that the transition will be seamless and the only noticeable change will be the name.

US fans were able to watch or stream all 380 Premier League games in 2022-23 and will be able to do so again as NBC’s current deal – including streaming service Peacock – runs until 2028.

Important Dates – Premier League Season 2023-24

The new Premier League season begins the weekend of August 11-14, 2023.

The traditional start of the Community Shield takes place between Manchester City and Arsenal. The exact match details are yet to be confirmed by the Football Association. The match is normally between the Premier League and FA Cup winners, but with City able to win both, second place in the final goes to the Premier League runners-up.

The season ends on Sunday May 19, 2024, with all ten games of the last day starting at the same time.

There will be a mid-season break between January 13 and 20 and the Premier League has promised there will be no two rounds in the same 48-hour period over Christmas and the New Year.

The summer transfer window opened on June 14th and runs until September 1st, 11pm.

What about the Champions League?

Manchester United are back in the Champions League and will enter the group stage, which runs from September 19-20 to December 12-13. The final will take place on June 1, 2024 at Wembley Stadium in London.

UEFA has confirmed that the group stage draw will take place on August 31, 2023.
