Manhunt for Daniel Khalife, 21, suspected of terrorist offenses, after his escape from prison

Daniel Abed Khalife, a former soldier charged with terrorism, is said to have escaped Wandsworth Prison disguised as a chef. A manhunt for him has begun.

He is actively wanted by the authorities. Daniel Khalife is suspected of gathering information that could be used by terrorists or enemies of the United Kingdom. According to BFMTV, the former soldier fled HMP Wandsworth in London on board a van this Wednesday, September 6th.

Police released a photo that they believe is the truck in question.

Suspected of helping terrorists

The 21-year-old young man is suspected of having collected information that could be used by terrorists or enemies of the United Kingdom, our colleagues specify. He is particularly suspected of having acted in favor of Iran.

The latter is 1.88 m tall and was wearing a chef’s outfit consisting of a white T-shirt, red and white checkered trousers and brown steel toe boots.

Although police made it clear that he posed no danger to the public, people are still advised not to approach him.

Charged with offenses from January and August 2021 in which he is accused of attempting to obtain information “about a person who was or was a member” of the British Army and “is likely to serve in a person who commits a terrorist attack or prepared”. Daniel Abed Khalife is also being prosecuted for making a false bomb threat. The ex-soldier is accused of “placing an object in order to cause another person to believe that said object was likely to explode” on January 2nd, specifies the Huffington Post.
