A new chaos is brewing in Peruvian football. As already mentioned, the Peruvian Football Federation (FPF) a few days before the match against Carlos A. Mannucci for the third date of the Clausura tournament, Deportivo Municipal revoked the first team license and the Professional Soccer League canceled this match. However, on the same day that this duel was supposed to take place, the license was returned to the mayor’s office, but the meeting did not take place.
In light of this fact, the Carlist group submitted a statement asking for this Professional football league receive the 3 points of the game that did not take place in Trujillo.

“We hereby make public that, following the suspension of the license of the Municipal Sports Center Club, which left ineffective the programming of our meeting for date 3 of the final tournament on Monday 10 July 2023, we have made an application to the Liga de Fútbol Profesional that we are declared winners of the Commitment pursuant to Article 106.1(c) of the applicable License Terms,” the statement reads.
Likewise, Mannucci stated that the league should still award them the three point standings, which “should have happened automatically, as per the licensing terms.”
Finally, the Carlist squad asked the supreme authority responsible for the further development of Peruvian football to comply with the rules and formalize the points total for them. Not without first rejecting a possible solution that violates the championship regulations, i.e. postponing the encounter between them Carlos A. Mannucci vs. Municipal Sports.
