“It’s a mixture of Louis de Funès and the Grinch,” explains Marcel Leboeuf of his character. He is the island’s farmer: he has a good character, but he has a good heart […] He’s dumb, he’s not well, but he has a tender side when he’s alone. He has a butterfly friend. At the same time, it’s like he’s talking to himself… It’s crazy, but I love it! »
It’s not every day you play a troll, but whoever brings it to life quickly had a very clear idea of how to approach the role. “For me, the Grinch was a good place to start. […] On the island, he’s the one who has all the flaws. But at the same time he can sympathize and give thanks…”
