Marcello Cirillo, Rai musician, hit by a truck on the Cassia bis: “I got stuck in my Smart”

The musician and TV presenter was involved in an accident on Wednesday afternoon. “I want to meet the guys who helped me and thank them personally. One was called Clare”

“I live by a miracle, I want to thank these angels who were on the Cassia bis around 3pm (Wednesday) and pulled me out of my Smart after I was hit by a truck and dragged 200 meters and then to roll over on the other side of the street”. That the dramatic tweet by Marcello Cirillo, 64 years old, musician and presenter of programs of the Rai, involved in a clash which the Carabinieri are now investigating. The artist was unharmed and now wants to meet the person who helped him out of the wrecked city car. “A group of boys, in particular, one of them was called Chiara,” Cirillo writes again.

Lots of messages on social media from fans concerned about what happened and the musician’s health. The truck driver was stopped and identified: it was too alcohol and drug tested. The reconstruction of the accident dynamics, which apparently occurred in the fast lane of the consular road in the direction of Rome, is being examined.

Originally from Caulonia, in the province of Reggio Calabria, Cirillo became known to the general public with the duo he formed with Antonio Maiello, with whom he took part in the Sanremo Festival and collaborated with various musicians such as: Tullio de Piscopo. The TV debut thanks to Renzo Arbore in “Dear friends near and far” and then “Quelli della notte”, followed by other successful programs such as “Canzonissime”. Also on television he was involved in the direction of “Mezzogiorno in famiglia” and “I fatti tue” and as a correspondent of “Quelli che il calcio”.
