Paul Guerrero was officially introduced by LDU, from Quito, last Friday, July 21, in front of a large crowd of fans gathered at the Rodrigo Paz Delgado Stadium. A few days ago after the news was confirmed that Guerrero is joining the Albo team, was one of the footballers who welcomed him to the Quito league Marcelo Martins. The current Independiente del Valle player once again spoke about the top scorer of the Peruvian team and wished him the best of luck.
“He wants to be that leader again in his career, he has, and it’s important to him that he made that decision. I hope he does very well, not personally against Independiente, because among goalscorers we want to see other strikers’ goals and we support each other. I wish him the best of luck,” he said in an interview for Spanish newspaper AS.
The historic striker of the Bolivian team highlighted Guerrero’s skills and defined him as a goalscorer who can greatly help his team if his teammates are good with him.

“He has experience and goals, he knows how to define with his head, from the right and left. He’s a goalscorer. That shaped him throughout his career. I think if you put together a good team for him, he can score a lot of goals and help his club.”
Finally, Martins assured that he only knows the international striker from meetings with the respective teams and indicated that he hopes he will be happy in his new team.
“I only know him because I’ve played him many times for the national team. I wish that the club he comes to can be happy. I welcomed him because I like the way Paolo plays. He’s really a warrior, he’s a warrior, a goalscorer, I wish the goalscorers well,” he assured.
