EXCLUSIVE: Day with Grandma! Maria Shriver is crazy about 18-month-old granddaughter Lila in Montecito, where pregnant daughter Katherine and husband Chris Pratt now rent a $20,000-a-month home away from the Sussexes.
Maria Shriver was every inch a loving grandmother when she spent time with her namesake granddaughter Lila Maria Pratt in Montecito, California earlier this month.
The 66-year-old was seen walking through Upper Village Park as she visited her 32-year-old daughter Katherine Schwarzenegger Pratt and her young family.
The smiling grandma couldn’t help but admire the adorable 18-month-old as she kept her busy so her pregnant mom could grab a quick bite to eat at the nearby Pierre LaFond & Co. Market.
“Maria looked radiant,” an eyewitness told , adding, “She never let go of Lila’s little hand and pointed her to things in the park that she could look at, like dogs, flowers and insects.” You can tell that she is enjoying her new role as a grandmother.”
Katherine, who is expecting her second child with husband Chris Pratt, was spotted stopping for a bite to eat while her mother took care of little Lila. She felt comfortable in a black button-down shirt, black leggings, and white running shoes.
The trio huddled in the parking lot before returning to Katherine and her husband Chris Pratt, 3,300 square feet, five bedrooms, eight bathrooms, mid-century modern rent for $20,000 a month, just minutes away. They seem to divide their time between this “small” vacation rental in Montecito and their main residence in the Pacific Palisades area of Los Angeles.

Although the Kennedy family is more like a political dynasty, it is often described as the closest to the royal family in the US. So it’s only fitting that the American Royal Family’s rental home is so close to the home of the British Royal Family.

Back in 1953, Mary’s uncle John and aunt Jackie Kennedy spent their famous honeymoon at Rancho San Isidro in Montecito. There is still a dacha named after them on the site. Chris, 42, and Katherine also exchanged wedding vows at Rancho San Ysidro on June 8, 2019.
And now Kennedy’s great-granddaughter Katherine lives just two miles from this historic five-star hotel. Another connection to the area is that Maria’s best friend Oprah Winfrey, 68, lives on the $50 million Montecito estate, but on the opposite side of town.
