While singer Mariah Carey, 53, was enjoying the water and sun of Capri, Italy, some thieves broke into the artist’s mansion in Atlanta, Georgia, police confirmed to Page magazine Six. “The investigation is still open, but we can’t provide any further details,” police sources told the same publication about the robbery, which was reported on July 27 but was not revealed until almost three weeks later.

According to the same investigation, the thieves entered the ‘All I want for Christmas is you’ performer’s mansion when Mariah Carey was vacationing with her boyfriend, dancer Bryan Tanaka, 39, and their Monroe twins and Moroccan, both 11 years old, the result of her relationship with rapper and actor Nick Cannon, to whom she was married for eight years. It is currently unknown what items were stolen from the artist’s home or if there was any cash inside.

Before enjoying this vacation in Capri, Mariah Carey was one of the 600 guests at the Dolce & Gabbana high fashion show that the two designers hosted on July 9 in the center of the Sicilian city of Syracuse. The artist wore a mermaid dress printed with colorful tiles for the occasion and posed with the designers and other luxury guests including Drew Barrimore, Helen Mirren and Sharon Stone.

Alongside this Italian getaway, the singer, her boyfriend and their kids used their days off to spend two weeks at a mansion in the Hamptons. On July 25, Mariah Carey posted a photo thanking the real estate agent who was in charge of finding a home for her family vacation. The $20 million estate they stayed in is located in Eagle’s Point, one of the highest areas in the Hamptons, a millionaire vacation spot famous in America.

Neither Carey nor his representatives have commented on the theft. The artist acquired the mansion for €5.4 million in November 2021. Located in the Sandy Springs neighborhood of Atlanta, Georgia, the home has nine bedrooms and 13 bathrooms, as well as a swimming pool, tennis court and playground. As a curious note on the mansion, it is the same one rented long ago by actor Dwayne Johnson, known by the nickname The Rock (The Rock).
