Mariana Goldfarb asked Globo for a chance to make her soap opera debut. The model, who announced the end of her marriage to Cauã Reymond in April this year, auditioned for A Vovó Sumiu. However, she did not get the role in the next seven o’clock soap opera, which is scheduled to premiere in the first half of 2024.
According to sources from TV news, The influencer herself turned to the broadcaster looking for an opportunity. In the end, she was even included in the ongoing tests, but that wasn’t management’s first option.
Mariana, who has 1.1 million followers on Instagram, was surpassed by another social media phenomenon: Rafa Kalimann. The former BBB, who worked on the first season of Rensga Hits! took part, has 21.9 million admirers on the same platform.
How the TV news As we learned firsthand, Rafa will be one of the main villains in Daniel Ortiz’s series. She will be responsible for disrupting the life of Juliana Paiva’s character one of the five grandchildren of the titular grandmother, played by Arlete Salles.

Vovó Sumiu will replace Fuzuê in the first half of 2024. The soap opera was written by Daniel Ortiz, who holds the record for the highest viewership of the series this decade with the success of Salvese Quem Puder (2020).
The plot revolves around Frida (Arlete Salles), whose disappearance brings together five grandchildren who, despite the distance, have to come together to search for her.
Arlete will actually work a double shift in production. She will also play Frida’s twin sister, who was named Catarina. Her grandson, in turn, will be one of the main villains the role went to Raphael Logam, who will play his first prominent role in soap operas.
