After “Presumably Innocent: The Michelle Perron Affair” and “Presumably Innocent: The France Affair,” Alain, Marie-Claude Savard and Sébastien Trudel this time deal with the case of Sébastien Métivier, a little boy who died on January 1st. November 1984 in Hochelaga district. Maisonneuve, in Montreal. “Initially it was Sébastien who had the idea to investigate this matter. He remembered that at that time Sébastien Métivier’s face was on the liters of milk to announce his disappearance.

To reopen this almost 40-year-old investigative file, the host visited Sébastien Métivier’s mother and sister to obtain their consent. “The human bond we built with this family was really, really strong. As a mother with children ages five and seven, I was extremely touched by the story of this mother whose son disappeared in 1984. This story tells one of the worst nightmares a parent can experience. In our investigation we are also examining the cases of two other children whose bodies were found and who were abducted at the same time as Sébastien Métivier. We are talking in particular about pedophiles and child predators. We also question the safety management and protection of children in our society. Through our approach we have discovered incredible things. The end result is three extremely gripping episodes. We are very proud of the work we have done.”

A heavy workload
Marie-Claude Savard says she is happy to have had the opportunity to film three seasons of Presumed Innocent. “I was very happy to work with Sébastien Trudel, with whom I also present on the radio. We get along well and complement each other well. Sébastien is more Cartesian and sensible than me, who is more emotional. With Presumed Innocent, we didn’t just want to retell the events of the crimes covered, but rather look for new information. We succeeded and we are proud of it. However, investigative series like this require thousands of hours of work. We are currently planning a break with radio and our families. We would like to take the time to look at other true crime cases that have the potential to interest us in the future.”

The presenter also invites the public to listen to the podcasts recorded alongside the documentary series. “All Presumed Innocent podcasts are available on iheartradioca. These podcasts enable the further development of surveys on the web.”

HAPPINESS IN RADIO
In addition, Marie-Claude Savard takes great pleasure in co-hosting the program ça Allez au poste, together with Sébastien Trudel and Mario Tessier, which airs weekdays from 2:55 p.m. on Énergie 94.3. “Since Mario joined us last year, the show has taken an even more humorous turn. We are fortunate to have very loyal listeners and good survey results. I also have great chemistry between the boys. We laugh and have a lot of fun together. It is very enriching for me. I also think that I am currently experiencing the best moments of my career! I’m feeling really good.”

A stable family life
The documentary filmmaker, who has been in a relationship with TV producer Jean-Martin Bisson for twelve years, does not shy away from the opportunity to finally find a good balance in her private life. “My children Henri and Charlotte now go to school. Before, when they were babies, it was harder for me to balance work and family. We are lucky now to have a good family structure and everything is going well for us. I’m not worried at the moment.”

IN THE RING WITH CATHY GAUTHIER
Marie-Claude Savard, who has always been passionate about the world of sports, is currently filming a documentary about the members of the Hilton family who shaped the history of boxing in Quebec. “This project should see the light of day on Crave in spring 2024. I am currently training boxing with professional boxer Alex Hilton. I’m preparing to face comedian Cathy Gauthier in a match that we don’t have an official date for yet. This is a fight that will be filmed as part of my documentary. Cathy, for her part, is already training in boxing and was happy to accept the challenge. We know each other well, she and I, because we present at the same radio station. I also think it’s good for a 50-year-old woman like me to stay in shape and develop my reflexes.”

A KNOWN NEIGHBOR
Marie-Claude Savard also tells us that she has had a great relationship with Mariloup Wolfe, her neighbor, for eight years. “We love each other very much. Mariloup’s youngest son goes to the same school as my children. Over the years a very nice friendship has developed between us. Mariloup is someone I really respect. Having spent a long time developing in the very masculine world of sports, I am happy to be surrounded by strong women like Mariloup and my friend Anik Jean. I can therefore say that I have two female directors in my circle.” On this subject, let us remember that this summer Mariloup Wolfe released the film Cœur de slush, while Anik Jean presented her first feature film, My Mother’s Men.

A devouring love of reality TV
The presenter, who will be collaborating this fall on the show Les Fridays OD, hosted by Félix-Antoine Tremblay every Friday at 6:30 p.m. on Noovo, does not hide her crazy love for reality TV. “I think that’s all I hear. I don’t miss anyone, whether it’s Occupation Double, Survivor Quebec, Big Brother Celebrities and many others. For me it is pure joy to see this. I also have great respect for those who embark on these adventures. I’m also very happy that I was able to work on the new season of the Occupation Double this year. I love doing this and having the chance to meet the eliminated contestants every week.”

Marie-Claude Savard is amassing great projects, but plans to slow down a bit in the coming months. “I’ve never been so busy in my entire life. The recent filming of the investigative series “Presumed Innocent” was quite an adventure. “That’s why I’m going to give myself a little more time for myself,” she concludes.

The investigative series Presumably innocent: The Sébastien Métivier affair will be available on Crave starting November 29th.
