Marie-Eve Janvier had already received several offers to take part in shows and return to the stage in recent years, but the timing was not good. “I told myself that I had two small children, I didn’t want to tour and my life was already busy. In fact, I’ve been waiting for the right project.” So it was a big surprise when she received a call last spring from her agent, Junior Bombardier, announcing Just for Laughs’ offer to play Jenna in the hit musical “Waitress.” which triumphed on Broadway. But before she officially got the role, she had to audition to get approval from the American production.

I did it six or seven times and sang “She Used to Be Mine,” a solo song that Jenna sings. I was very emotional because even today I can’t listen to this song without knowing the motto.”
