Last Thursday, at the end of the episode, viewers got a glimpse into the intense emotions they were apparently going through Marie Joseethanks to an excerpt from Monday’s episode in which he burst into tears.
Although viewers may have sensed possible difficulties in the romantic relationship between them Julian and Marie-Josée, they probably wouldn’t have expected the couple’s separation, which happened just a few weeks after filming for “If We Loved Each Other” ended.

The contestant explained that she experienced beautiful moments after filming in June and described this month as “the beautiful month of June”. However, July had not been so harmonious and the couple had only met once.
Explaining this delicate situation, Julien admitted that he was very busy catching up on work after the demanding filming. Although he was aware that his relationship with Marie-Josée was eventually neglected, he had no choice and had to continue working. Something Marie-Josée understands.

Given her partner’s busy schedule, Marie-Josée suffered enormously from his absence and quickly felt deep loneliness, a feeling she was all too familiar with.
Eventually she realized that their relationship was not viable and sometime in July she ended their affair, which inevitably broke Julien’s heart.
Their reunion to watch the season’s episodes together as a former couple was definitely fascinating. Despite the palpable emotions in Julien, their complicity was encouraging and great to watch. There was no discomfort or tension, just two people coming together to face reality. As many fans of the show often say, “They were beautiful to watch.”

The connection between them was always present, to the point that Marie-Josée began to question her decision to break up with Julien and expressed a desire to keep “a small window” open for a possible romantic reconciliation .
At the very end of Monday night’s episode, an on-screen update revealed that Marie-Josée was still single, while Julien had been in a relationship with a mystery young woman for almost a year.
