At 39, Marie-Mai has learned from her mistakes; The singer, who revealed everything about her daily life and loves, has given way to the fiancée who prefers to keep the identity of her current partner secret to preserve her new relationship.

“I didn’t feel like falling in love again. “I was sure that I would spend my life single,” explains Marie-Mai Marie-Claude Barrette in the latest episode of the podcast Open your game.

Separated from her daughter’s father, the musician David LaflecheThe singer-songwriter has been speaking with apparent caution about her new relationship for some time now.

The best from both worlds
For the mother of six-year-old Gisèle, it was important to do things well and to progress this new love story step by step. “It seemed to happen quickly to the public, but David and I were separated long before we published our message on the networks,” she says.
She admits that the relationship she currently has with her daughter’s father is the one she would have liked to have experienced during her romantic relationship. This allows them to take family vacations and have dinner together every week.
