Sarah-Jeanne Labrosse did a very amusing impersonation of Marilou in her Hyundai ads at Bye Bye 2023.
In the parody, the actress had fun with the famous expression “WAH”, which was frequently used in the TV campaign.
The Marilou from Bye Bye said the following:
I'm often asked, “What does 'WAH' mean?” It's a concept invented by marketing people to look cool that even I don't understand. But for the price it pays, I will say a few words about it in WAH.
Then she put the rhymes in “ah.” “Like BRAH, this is the price it costs to have one of our two electric vehicles, or TWO-THOUSAND-THIRTY-TRWAH, this is the year we deliver it to you.” »
The main interest did not react immediately on her social networks after the broadcast of “Bye Bye”. Therefore, her fans wondered whether she was offended by Sarah-Jeanne Labrosse's caricature.
Marilou obviously has a good sense of humor as she reacted to a publication by the actress with a lot of repartee.
Recently, Sarah-Jeanne Labrosse shared photos from the filming of the Tim Hortons commercial for Bye Bye, for which she is a spokesperson. Marilou then commented:
A speaker for Chwaaah or Quwaaah! 🤍
To which the actress replied: “twaaaah laaaah ❤️❤️❤️”
Many people have praised the intelligence and gentleness of the Three Times a Day founder's response.
Martin Matte remained silent as to whether Jérémy Demay also reacted to his imitation at Bye Bye 2023 (see his reaction here). He wished his subscribers a Happy New Year on social networks, but never mentioned the caustic parody of his talk show in his annual review. Some curious netizens asked him what he thought about it, but he declined to comment. It has to be said that he was one of the biggest victims of this edition of Bye Bye.
Even though “Bye Bye” divided Quebec again, it achieved excellent ratings on the evening of December 31st. Discover everything here.
