Marilyn Manson was convicted in New Hampshire of blowing her nose at a videographer, which the judge called “outrageous.”
For the incident, which occurred during his concert in 2019, the musician must perform 20 hours of community service and pay a fine of approximately $1,400. The singer, whose real name is Brian Warner, was due to appear in court in person on Monday (18.09.23). The judge said he could do his community service in California.
Marilyn Manson, 54, initially pleaded not guilty to the assault charges but later changed his plea to no contest. He did not deny the accusation, but was not obliged to plead guilty.
According to a police report, Marilyn Manson spit on this woman on August 19, 2019, while she was filming his show at the Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion in Gilford. The police investigator who viewed footage of the incident said Marilyn Manson was seen putting his face near photographer Susan Fountain’s camera and spitting a “big mouthful” on it, according to police. The police report adds that the camera shows Marilyn Manson pointing at Susan Fountain and laughing at her as she walks away.
In a statement read out in court, Susan Fountain said: “I have never been humiliated or treated like I was by this defendant. Him spitting on me and blowing his nose is the most disgusting thing a human being has ever done. »
As part of his sentence, Marilyn Manson must also inform police of all concerts planned in New Hampshire over the next two years and provide proof of community service completion by February 4, 2024.
The star, who wore a black suit to court, addressed the judge twice. When asked if he understood the sentence, he answered “yes.” Speaking to reporters outside court, Marilyn Manson said he intended to conduct his TIG with “people who are in the process of rehabilitation.”
