A former Marine has sued his ex-girlfriend who allegedly subjected him to an abuse campaign for years, including posting adult photos of him on Craigslist and using 22 different phone numbers to harass him.
A lawsuit filed in New Jersey alleges that his former partner Deza’rae Collins “embarked on a year-long course of harassment” because she “couldn’t handle” their breakup.
The man, identified only as “SS,” says in court filings he “lost multiple jobs” and was forced to change his phone number 100 times as a result of Collins’ actions.
The alleged harassment included sending racy photos he had sent her privately to his current girlfriend and other family members, leading to strained relationships.
“I didn’t think I would have to carry this around forever and explain it to every romantic partner I would ever have,” the New Jersey man told the New York Post.

The lawsuit alleges that Collins, who met the plaintiff in 2015, continued her behavior even after the plaintiff filed multiple police reports against her.
SS attorney Daniel Szalkiewicz alleges in the lawsuit that the defendant illegally shared photos of the plaintiff 77 times without his consent since October 1, 2022.
A photo allegedly posted by Collins on Craigslist shows the plaintiff naked in front of a mirror, including his phone number and social security number.
“LOST DID YOU SEE ME? RAPIST PEDOPHILE NARCISSIST,” is also inserted, the suit says.
The photos were privately sent to Collins while he was on the field for a year and a half and she was living in Oregon, the lawsuit says.
SS claims he often had no cellphone service during his deployment and said if he docked he would be shocked to find an exorbitant number of calls and texts from Collins.
“My phone would explode with texts,” he told the Post.
“I couldn’t take it anymore. I wanted to break up with her,” SS continued.
The man claims she didn’t take the breakup well and has fought back against his decision and is trying to reconcile.
At one point, Collins — a behavioral sciences student at Oregon Health and Science University, according to ResearchGate — allegedly started calling SS’s parents and even sent a letter with a nude photo of him.

The man’s current girlfriend says Collins has contacted him more than 5,000 times in 10 days.
The friend confirmed ResearchGate’s information that Collins works in the field of behavioral sciences.
“It’s scary,” the woman told the Post.
She also says she was recently fired from her job after her boss told her they didn’t want to be drawn into the drama of the situation.
The girlfriend had been forced to take time off to go to court and speak to the police.
In all, the former Marine and his attorney allege Collins texted two videos and 12 pictures nearly 80 times.
“She doesn’t give up,” said SS.
The plaintiff said he tried to get restraining orders against her, but his travels for the Marines and their residence in different states, his girlfriend alleges.
According to The Post, SS and his family obtained a restraining order against Collins in early February.
The list of wrongdoings allegedly committed by Collins includes sharing explicit photos of the plaintiff with Craigslist and members of his family, including his mother and siblings

SS is suing Collins for at least $150,000 per picture and an injunction preventing the woman from sharing photos of the plaintiff in the future.
“I want it to stop and be done with it,” SS said in the interview.
The ex-Marine’s girlfriend agreed, saying, “I hope she leaves us alone.”
Szalkiewicz said in a statement: “Our client lost years of his life to the defendant’s harassment and was always afraid of when and how the defendant would strike next.
“His intimate pictures have been shared with his family, his fiancee’s family and the whole world,” Szalkiewicz said.
