“I have never given any indication of conducting an investigation into Fedez’s alleged homosexuality. And I’m sorry for these exaggerated insults. Mario Giordano is responding to the stories posted by Fedez, in which the rapper accused the journalist of Fuori dal coro (Rete4) of being the role model of Serie B journalism. It doesn’t exist, I’ve never planned and I’m not planning any ministry of this kind in fuori dal coro. On Tuesday, research will be broadcast on the subjects that I have always dealt with and that concern citizens’ problems: I will speak about the economic crisis and unemployment, about security, about those who have a squat and their home does not can recapture. Those are the fights I expend my energy on. There will be nothing on Sanremo». However, Fedez assures that a journalist contacted friends of his and asked questions about his alleged homosexuality: «She is a collaborator who works with various Mediaset programs and also with us, but I cannot be responsible for everything that a person does: if he stabs someone for the road, I certainly can’t be blamed.’ So is it a journalist’s own initiative? “I repeat. I never thought of doing an investigation into Fedez’s homosexuality.”
However, Mario Giordano did not like Fedez’s departure: “He used words and tones towards me that objectively seem exaggerated to me. Let’s start with body shaming: It’s true, I have an ugly voice and an ugly face, but I don’t want to be criticized for my looks, I want to be criticized for what I do. And I may have made a lot of mistakes in 30 years of journalism.” He also saw Sanremo and didn’t like a lot: “But what bothered me the most is the mimic sex act, I watched the festival on TV with my children and this one I didn’t like the scene, it’s the more vulgar thing but the one that was least talked about».
