Days after stating he was worried about having to share a house with communists and repeating fake news about Colombia’s President Gustavo Petro, actor Mário Gomes lost the mansion he lived in with his wife and two children, to the judiciary, who auctioned off property to pay a debt to work seamstresses in a clothing factory he had in Paraná.

In the election on the 30th, when he received just over 6,000 votes in his candidacy for federal MP for the PL, Gomes lost, Gomes claimed there was fraud in the election and said he was afraid that a victory for Lula (PT) Brazil would “go through the same things that happen in Venezuela, Cuba and Argentina”.

“Me and my wife [Raquel Palma] We are afraid of losing our home. It is said that in Colombia plots over 65 square meters are shared with other families. It’s going to happen here!” he exclaimed desperately.

However, the eviction was carried out by the court. Gomes owed salaries to 84 seamstresses in Paraná, debts worth R$923,000 in 2007.

The labor court then decided in 2011 that the actor’s house would be auctioned to pay off the debt. The villa was bought by an association of officials for R$720,000, which is 48% of the estimated value of R$1.5 million.

The actor rented the house for parties through AirBnb and racked up a property tax liability of R$94,000.
