To mark his 40-year career, Mario Pelchat invited artists he admires to perform songs from his extensive repertoire with him solo or in duet. The show's name is apt, as it was filmed in the rural setting of his vineyard in Saint-Joseph-du-Lac.

From the beginning, Mario Pelchat tells how his wife Claire Lemaître-Auger and he became owners of Domaine Pelchat Lemaître-Auger in Saint-Joseph-du-Lac. Among other things, we learn that it all started on the day Mario gave his partner a saddle. He knew she wanted a horse and thought she could place him near Montreal. When Mario found out that the idea of boarding a horse wasn't an option for Claire, he explained, “In that case, we'll buy land.”
In complete privacy
Most performances take place in the performance hall that Mario Pelchat had built on his property. After singing “Follow Me on the Road,” he explains that at first it seemed obvious to him that people would travel to attend the events organized at the winery. “Now that it's full, I realize it didn't work out. There was a danger that it wouldn't work out.” Today, when he sees people arriving, he tells himself that it's a blessing.
Mario Pelchat's first guest is Ingrid St-Pierre, whom he knows a little. “I really like her world, who she is, her talent, all the sweetness that comes from what she does.” Before repeating the piece Des Pleurs dans la Pluie in her own way, the singer mentions that she hopes , that she will like her version. It is the case.
Between two songs, Mario looks back on the important stages of his career, from his beginnings as a singer at the age of three or four to his choice of musical style and his collaboration with Claude Valade, which made him realize that he could write his own lyrics.
Émilie Daraîche is Mario's second guest, who introduces her by talking about the bond that binds him to the Daraîche family and his reaction when Émilie told him that she wanted to cover his song Ailleurs. The song she sings during the show became the title track of her second album, produced by Mario and released in 2020.
In harmony
Mario then receives Marie Denise Pelletier, whom he has met several times on television and with whom he has always had a great bond. Together they sing Tant de mots and Voyager sans toi, accompanied by the gospel choir Choir Expérience. The duo Mario and Lunou Zucchini play in a church, where they are accompanied by a string quartet. The singer says of the young woman that she has a sublime voice that is reminiscent of this
his mother (Luce Dufault) and that he chose Je n't'aime plus because of her powerful voice. At the end of the special broadcast, Mario asked Marie-Christine Depestre to perform an emotional version of “Plushaut que moi” with the participation of the Chœur Expérience Gospel. Between his guests' performances, Mario alternately performs “When we believe, I am a Singer”, “À right reason”, “C'est la vie” and “If I Can Dream”.
