Marion Cotillard is a popular actress all over the world, but it doesn’t quite seem like it at home!

As the actress plays Cleopatra in the next Asterix and Obelix: The Middle Kingdom directed by her husband Guillaume Canet, she confided to the Daily Set that her kids didn’t appreciate her performance!
Marcel, the son she had with Guillaume Canet, is now 11 and starring in the feature film. Louise, their five-year-old daughter, was also able to preview the film and the reactions weren’t exactly what Marion Cotillard was hoping for.
“I always have a little trouble talking about my kids, but one day my son comes into my office and says, ‘I want to tell you something…’ And so he says to me, ‘I want to tell you something but I’m afraid it’ll hurt you’ and I say to him ‘But my cat, you can tell me everything’ and he says to me ‘I don’t think you’re any good in daddy’s film’. Kinda am I’m a little relieved because I tell him, ‘That’s your opinion, no problem,'” she continues.
But Marion Cotillard was not at the end of his troubles. “I’m with my daughter in the evening, I understand that she saw the film too, and I don’t know why I’m asking her, ‘And you, Cleopatra?’ And she does (mimicking a grimace). I understood after that… I think that… They couldn’t take that I kissed Vincent Cassel on the mouth,” she continues.
Marion Cotillard’s kids don’t need to watch The Dark Knight Rises anymore…
