Mariska Hargitay celebrates 19 years with husband Peter Hermann: ‘Best dance of my life…Only dance of my life’

Mariska Hargitay has shared a throwback to her wedding night with husband Peter Hermann to mark the couple’s 19th anniversary.

The 59-year-old actress, who hosted the 4th Annual Joyful Heart Walk for her Joyful Heart Foundation earlier this month, shared a clip of her first dance with her husband, 56, from their August 28, 2004 wedding.

’19 years. Best dance of my life. “The only dance of my life,” Hargitay captioned the snap, tagging photographer Lara Porzak.

The happy couple tied the knot in Santa Barbara, California, two years after meeting on the set of their hit NBC series Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.

In 2002, Hermann was cast for a recurring role as defense attorney Trevor Langan, and two years later the couple tied the knot.

Hargitay is also godmother to one of her longtime co-star Christopher Meloni’s daughters, Sophia.

The actress recently made headlines for attending Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour stop in Los Angeles with her daughter Amaya.

She shared a series of snaps on Instagram with her and Today Show host Savannah Guthrie and Selena Gomez at the SoFi Stadium show.

“Still in the afterglow of the most magical night.” “Deepest gratitude to @taylorswift for your poetry and wisdom,” Hargitay began.

“They inspire us and connect us to our tender tenderness, joy, hope and strength – and most importantly, our desire to live and love boldly,” added Hargitay.

“Thank you, Taylor, for everything you do and for everything you are,” Hargitay concluded, with Hargitay attending the show for a different reason and making headlines.

Swift has named her cat Olivia Benson, the name of Hargitay’s beloved character on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, which she has played for 24 seasons.

One of Hargitay’s charm bracelets at the concert even read “Olivia Benson,” perhaps a homage to both the singer’s cat and her longtime character.
